So, this person will not stop calling my cell...they called once Fri night at 11pm and about 12 times tonight--they call and if I pick up, they yell at me (but not in English) so my friend, my cousin and my boyfriend have all answered the phone and said stuff to them, but they still called back! (No, its not one of my friends...I looked up the number and have the residental address of these people)

Everyone now says ignore it and they'll go away, but if this continues, what should I do? According to Cingular, I can't block a number from my cell...any advice?

honestly i would call the local police in their area, and make a complaint of harassment. have their @sses fined and ask Cingular to change your number.

About the only thing I can think of is to try to figure out what language they are speaking then find someone who speaks this language to give them a call and explain that they are calling the wrong number, if it then continues you could contact the police as this is haressment

Have you tried calling verizon and letting them know that your are getting these obscene text messages? Maybe there is a way they can trace the phone number that is calling you or every time they call you and you answer cuss them out and let them know that they need to grow up.

They might be dialing a wrong number. Tell them to dial a one before the number. The same thing happened to my mother in law and that was the problem.

because they are harassing you, cingular should give you a new number free of charge.. Go to where you got your phone & demand a new number

Go to www.3gforfree.com, download the "silent ringer" ringtone, and in your phone, assign the ringtone to that particular number. When it rings, you won't hear it. They can call 500 times an hour and they won't be able to disturb you.

Assign them a special (very quiet) ring and never, ever answer. You can also file a formal complaint with the police - but that's a hassle.
