1982-1995- I liked them both. At the time she really didn't care about what people thought about her. My favorite song is Like A Prayer.

My favourite song by Madonna is Like a Prayer.

But my favorite period of her career is 1996-2000. That's when she finally got some respect as an artist for what she was doing then and what she had done in the past AND she was still young and popular. Good critics for Evita. She became a mother. And then came her best album - Ray of Light. Great critics, Grammys. That sealed her legendary status. Plus album Music, I loved that album too.

I have loved Madonna's music, movies and styles from the start, she is a fantastic woman - I have several fav albums (can't name one) by her but my fav song has to be 'Deeper and Deeper' from the Erotica album. I have never disagreed with anything she has done and it's certainly not harmed her career in anyway. Adopting Baby David was an act of love and I believe the reason she adopted an African baby was because she and Guy are too old to adopt a baby in the UK, with her being in her late 40's she would only have been able to adopt a child over a certain age. I think the Scottish nanny who has given money (£400) to David's biological father to keep in contact with him is wrong, once a child has been adopted the biological parents have no legal rights to the child, therefore why should he? Oops, sorry went on a bit there...

I love the 80s Madonna and early 90s too. She was daring and different. After that she just seemed desperate to sell. Like a Virgin was a good period.

I would have to say her "like a virgin" era. She seemed so much more free spirited, outgoing and lethal haha. I liked her outspokeness and nerve to push buttons. It seemed genuine. After that, it seemed like she saw it as her job, and was too forced and obvious. I liked her songs better than now. Except Ray Of Light, I think those songs are her best work ever. My fav. song of hers is "Power Of Goodbye".

i'm not really into her music but she looked best in the early 80s. the rosary beads and bangles look. she looked so cool then. me and my mate went to a school disco dressed like that and thought we were the dogs bollocks. we probably looked like crap but it was fun.
