Saddam killed or had killed over 150,000 Kurds, not the ridiculous figure you have quoted, he also did the same with some 500,000 Iragi civilians, and another 500,000 were killed in the war against Iran. According the the United Nations, there have been 57,000 Iraqi civilians killed since the Invasion. Correct figures are useful when you are arguning your case.

There was a difference in the way the deaths occurred and no matter what we think of Bush, he would have truly regretted those deaths. Saddam had no pity or remorse, right to the end.
Fortunately in the civilised world, we use the vote to remove someone from power, that is, if people use that precious freedom we have been given; the freedom to choose.
And thank god we have that liberty, without being intimidated. It still isn't the case in many countries.
Prime Ministers, Presidents are human and until the end of time will make mistakes like the rest of us.
Yes, many people died and it is tragic and thank goodness we are free to talk about our leaders mistakes, to actually say, "You messed up Bush"...
Let us hope the "New Year" brings some kind of peace.
And for all those who have lost family and friends in any conflict, for them to know, we do care about the precious loss of life. We are grateful that they had the courage to go, and at least try and fight for the peace we all long for. And now fight to restore order.

Excuse me, but the 3,000 American soldiers who have died in Iraq went there as volunteers to liberate Iraq from tyrants. They were all trained to defend themselves. Bush did not kill them. Insurgents did. The Kurds who died by Saddam were his own defenseless people on his own soil. They did not get a fair trial like Saddam did. We did not even kill Saddam. The liberated Iraqi people who judged him did.
Bush does not gas American women and children. His sons do not rape women. If Bush is so bad, go live in another country. It is an insult to Bush (and just plain uninformed) to say he is the same as Saddam.
Notice everyone wants to immigrate to America. It must be the best country on earth. Please travel to a third world run by a dictator before you trash this one. You'll come back with a better understanding of oppression, lack of opportunity, lack of freedom of expression.

I absolutely agree. Though I have no idea what he is like as a human being, not a president, his actions do nothing ot back up his reasonings. An ex-dictator is hanged for the murder of 150, while Mr. Bush sits back in his easy chair giving orders to "controll" and "help" Iraqis that, according to him, couldn't control their own government if their lived depended on it.
Now it looks like their lives really are hanging in the balance, and to get his way, Mr. Bush has already sacrificed 3,000 unknowing victims of his own country, and is willing to send more, all for the wrong reasons.
The general public is uneducated on why he really sent troops to Iraq, and why he took down a dictator he is looking more and more like every day.

Saddam didn't kill the Kurds. They killed themselves because they were fighting Iraqi Army together with the Iranian during Iraqi-Iranian war in eighties. So he was not guilty.Bush invaded Iraq and started war since three and half years ago which resulted in complete destruction of Iraqi State and infrastructure and internal war which cost Iraqi people about one Million citizen (not only 160000 as you said).
as well as of losing about 3000 US soldiers. Therefore Bush should be hanged at least in the history

Bush is as same as Saddam. bush is responsible for killing more people than saddam would ever have. and i thought the reason we started the war with iraq was to find the weapon of mass destruction. saddam was a horrible man but i don't think that gave bush a right to ignore UN and just interfere in another country's business. americans have gained nothing more than loss from this. and not all iraqis r happy about this whole US invasion either. not to sound selfish but i don't see why we should spend our money to do something that gets us criticized. in the beginning we started the war so we can protect ourselves from a possible nuclear war but now it has got nothing to do with that. we r spending our own money and ruining our economy to rebuild iraq

You know, Congress has been involved in this whole fighting a war thing too. If Congress had the political will, it could cut funding to the war effort and bring all the troops home - thing is, they don't. So even if Bush has done a poor job, let's not act as if he actually is the dictator of this country. The beauty of a semi-democracy is that those deaths are on all of our heads, not just one leader.

War is wrong. Period. But Saddam was a nut-case!
I think people will someday come to the conclusion that you cannot win the eye-for-an-eye way. The only way to overcome hatred is with love.

Bush will be judged by history and we will have to hang Bush in our history books. In other words history will be hard on old Bush. The truth is Bush killed all our fine young men and women ove lies.
