Okay, here's the story. My good frined is married, but he is chating on his wife. He was hanging out with me and his girlfriend, and his wife called crying. I drove his girlfiend home, and she wondered what was up? I ended up telling her that it is a difficult situation they are in, and that my friend would not leave his wife for her. Did I go too far? Will this hamper my firendship?

Yes the girlfriend is hot :) And my biggest dilemna is I consider my friend and his wife my friend, and don't want to see them break up.

Your friend shouldn't have put you in this situation in the first place. It's his job to explain to the gf what's going on and what to expect as well as let the wife in on the whole deal. Asking you to keep a secret like that as well as your mouth shut when they both question you is a lot to ask. Ask him what he expects of you and let him know that these women are trying to confide in you. Let this be his deal.

Well yes, it will hamper your friendship. However, your friend put you in a bad spot by having you have to drive his "girlfriend" home.
You have no idea whether or not he will end up leaving his wife for the girlfriend. After the wife finds out, she may just kick his butt the curb so girlfriend might end up with him after all.

It's nice that you care about both people but that was a hard decision you made. Although there may be some problems now she had a right to know. Your friend isn't that good of a friend to you or he wouldn't use you to cheat on his wife. I wish my daughters husbands friends would tell her the truth about her husband, his doing the same thing ;she sure doesn't believe anyone else but if they were to tell her she would do something about it.

You stepped over your friendship boundary by telling the g/f that he would not leave his wife for her. That's something he should tell her. I's really not your place. But as for it hampering your friendship, it shouldn't . If he is a real friend he would understand that you made a mistake. Good luck with your situation.

yeah, he's the loser cheating on his wife, not you. He put you in a bad position. Let him sleep in the bed HE made. If he can't handle that, he's not much of a friend, is he. I would ALSO not hang out with said "friend" and his girl friend. You can take control of your world by not enabling him to go out and have fun while cheating. If he wants to see other people, let him grow some balls and get a divorce.

I think you did the right thing, Hopefully the girlfriend will be strong enough to leave this friend of yours, He also put you in a situation that was probably uncomfortable for you. You did the right thing and if that means you lost a friendship so be it.

Go to your conscionce, which is right and let you sleep at night better. Be strong and apologize if you realize you may have made a mistake. You'll have a friend for life.

Good for you. Sounds like you told the truth. But, at this point you should probably refrain from being involved further.

i think by saying that he would not leave his wife for HER was like a slap in the face to her. i mean, some girls see words for what was actually said, not meant. she might have just been offended.
