It's part of his identity on the court. He just doesn't look and seem the same without it. Just let him where it?

Team rules and coaches rules are there for a reason. Players may not agree with them, but that doesn't make them bad or dumb rules. Ben Wallace is Ben Wallace whether he wears a headband or not, and he shouldn't have let things escalate to the media stink that it became. He should have been more professional about it and resolved things in-house instead of letting it blow up.

The headband is no longer part of Ben's image. When he left Detroit, the team that turned him from a nobody into an all star, the city that embraced him, he gave up any and all claim to that identity. That headband is property of the Detroit Pistons and is currently waiting for some young player (Jason Maxiell perhaps?) to come fill it. I hope to God that "Big Ben" breaks both of his legs, the traitor.

I can see both sides...I agree with Wallace that its a completely retarded rule. But the man is also a professional, and even if its a moronic rule, he still has to be a grown man/professional and do whats expected of him, which I beleive is what hes been doing. If you make a team rule and then break it for one player you will lose the respect of and control over the rest of the players

First of all it is 'wear.'

Second, that's why they are called 'uniforms.' Everyone has to abide by the same rules. This is even more important when it comes to the 'sheed.
