Yes, happens to the best of us.
When you're working your body is in this kind of adrenaline rush and tramples over any sickness that tries to get in it's way. When you slow down at the weekend/holidays the adrenaline gets turned back down to normal and all the lergies you've been fighting off come out and kick you.
It's bloody unfair and I dread to think how ill we'll all be when we eventually retire. Better start saving for Day Nurse now.

I'm always sick when my co-worker is not in the office - away for a out of town meeting, vacation, etc. So I never get a sick day - literally worked through strep throat & 102 temp earlier this month.

Disclaimer: Not a substitution to see a specialist to determine the real cause.
It has something to do with neurological path ways and abnormal nervous system triggered by certain neuro-stimuli.
Over the medium and long term (which could be months to years), be disciplined with regular short periods of exercise of half an hour to two hours to release stress to remove symptoms over time.
Pycnogenol, commonly referred to as Pine Bark extract, in the short and longer term, may reduce effects of anxiety and stress. Note that it may be overly effective for persons with heart conditions and therefore not recommended.
