Look at this, Saddam maybe a murder, but when you KNOW for sure your time of death you have time to repent. Even if your Christian, catholic or Jew. We all believe that God is merciful, probably more then we will ever imagine. If Saddam had time to ask for forgiveness, and the last thing he did before he died is prayer. There is a very good possibility that he died with no sins. He repented. To be honest with you I rather die KNOWING when I will die and preparing for it then die an old lady not knowing will her soul will be taken. Right????

In other words, NICE DEATH. I want to die like that. Doesn't mean i want to die. I just rather know when i will die.

Yeah you know what, you say he should go to hell but here's another point YOUR NOT GOD. you don't have the power to say who will go to hell or heven. this death is nothing bt a mercy on Saddam.

I understand repenting completely. If you mean it, and sincere about it, what kind of religion do you believe in if God rejects sincere repenters. Let me tell you something it’s a religion I don’t want to be in!

I'm not saying that you can commit sins and ask for forgiveness two minutes before you died, I’m saying that Saddam had almost a whole week. he didn't plan on repenting but he did. Pete I think the reason your disagreeing with me and I believe it's healthy for you to feel that way is because you seen what Saddam did. Know this, If God can make the sea split for mosses, create Adam and make all diseases vanish under the hands of Jesus, don't you think he can do something as simple as forgive someone? Why do you believe Jesus died on a cross Pete?

Yes, I get what you are saying. And what you are saying is true. I don't know what Saddam believes or if he has repented his sins but the thing is, people who believe in God know that Murder is a sin. And the death sentence in any country any way you look at it is a sin. God is very forgiving, and he is so merciful a lot of people don't understand.

I can't really see the logic in your argument. It looks like you are saying that you know you will( or your soul) will go to heaven if you know when you will die? If you do bad deeds in your life up till you are close to death and then say sorry to the god then would you expect that to be enough for you to get through the pearly gates?

I don't think you understand the idea of repenting. Just because someone prays, it doesn't mean they have no sins anymore. Saddam's crimes were very very very very bad, and he may try to repent, but it is very very very unlikely that he would have ever been able to rid his sins.

Face it...people do this..."just in case"....Simple as that. As far as Saddam is concerned? He just wanted to stir up some more **** on his way out!
