hey, i can't connect to limewire, anyone of you who's experiencing the same problem? Any idea when p2p is going to be restored?

With the damage to the transmission cable there is some disruption to every Internet service, but if you are not living in the area around Taiwan, then your service will be unaffected. Also those living in the area should experience slower service, not necessarily no service. You may experience problems connecting to peers who live in that area, but I would assume your reason for being unable to connect is due to some other cause.

it wouldn't be the earthquake in Taiwan the way peer to peer works unless the only people sharing the file where based in Taiwan and where effected then it will not make any difference.

As long as the Internet still exists and works and someone has a p2p program open p2p will continue to exist.

Well, I am in Taiwan, Kaohsiung currently... and here there have been no probs that I have experienced... but word on the streets are that the lines could take quite a while to be restored to pre-earthquake stability and capacity...

yes,several undersea cables had been disrupted in the earthquake.
i couldn't connect to Yahoo!Answers until yesterday.
