No, they are not bad for you, but they are not a very efficient way to heat. As an alternative, try finding something called a "Bed Buddy" at your local store or on-line. They come in several shapes and sizes. You put one in the microwave for two minutes and it gets very hot - but with a moist warmth. You can put it near your torso and warm your entire body, or just use it to 'spot warm' areas like hands and feet. They are also great to drop between the sheets just before climbing in bed. I love 'em!

I have heard about the electro-magnetic radiation possibly being bad for people, but there doesn't seem to be any solid evidence, just fear-mongering to sell some books.
Be careful though. I do know someone who burned down a house with one last January, and took out a couple thousand of books that I had stored there, as well as some other irreplaceable items of mine that I had left there.

attempt including a humidifier, the heater is drying out the moisture interior the air too a lot. The infants nostril and throat are in all probability slightly dried out. ensure the heater has a "tripper change," it is going to. this is a secure practices change equipped in that if the heater replaced into by probability knocked over, it shuts off.

They radiate infrared radiatio (heat).
As long as you don't set the curtains on fire, you'll be fine.
