I have a co-worker,who is a cashier,that I'm getting very stressed over,because when it gets busy,she doesn't want to speed up,to keep the line moving.She doen't want to help the courtesy clerks bag,when she is waiting for the customer to pay her.It is hard to ignore herEverything else is going fine with my job,except for her

Just make sure you are doing your own job as well as you can. Sooner or later the "higher ups" will see she is slacking and do something about it.

It is hard when you have a high work ethic like you do, but its the best solution.

Focus on your job and don't worry about what the other person is doing. It's not your place to get involved -- the supervisor or manager handles that.

Personally, speaking as a customer, I feel that it's rude if the cashier is bagging things as I'm trying to pay.

If you notice then probably the other workers and managers do too. Stick to a steady pace. Do your job well and try not to pay attention to her. You'll be there or somewhere better long after she is gone.
And thanks for your smiles and your chat. I really appreciate it when the cashier acknowledges me and seems to appreciate my business.

It's not your job to oversee her. It is the job of the managers. If they don't like her work eventually they will get rid of her. Just do the best you can do thats how you get promotions.
