he pretty much discovered volume

he realised that if u got into a bath the water level would rise because u would displace the amount of water equivelant to ur body's volume

Archimedes discovered buoyancy. This states that a body immersed in water is pushed up by a force called the buoyant force, which equals the weight of the displaced fluid. It is more coplicated than this of course. This is just a rough idea.

He was a Greek mathematician. He discovered many things in
geometry. He is said to have found the connection between how
the volume of an object placed in water can be found using the
amount of water it displaces and also the upthrust of water(Buoyancy). When he had found this he exclaimed "Eureka" which means I have found it.He is also
believed to have made big levers which he believed could
turn or move the whole world.

Archimedes was a great mathematician. He is renowned mainly for the discovery of principle of buoyancy which states that an object must displace an amount of water whose weight is equal to the submerged part. He is also known for designing special glass towers to burn roman ships during wars with rome.

he discovered displacement of water in a public bath when he saw water overflowing as he stepped into the water. He discovered that the water displaced was equal to his body. He then ran out of the bath naked shouting 'Eureka!!!' which is Greek for I've found it. This lead to the invention of the Eureka can or displacement can.
