Hello =)
From the Mahayana Buddhist perspective....
They are very real, and exist one level above human birth.....
The Buddha offered many teachings to dragons.....particularly dragon kings.
They lived near the ocean, in palaces built by men.
The reason we do not see them now, is that it is extremely difficult to reach enlightenment in this, the "Dharma-ending age"...
or the time when the Buddha's teachings are in decline. 2000 Years ago, however, enlightenment was much easier, and dragons were commonly seen.
If you wish to see a dragon, then, I suspect, you must either become enlightened, or act in such a way as to accumulate good Karma, so that in your next rebirth, you are born as a dragon.
Namaste, and Happy New Year,
--Tom

That's a big negative (not counting kimono dragons, which I don't think you mean)
First, not all of the world's major cultures has them in their myths (actually, define "major culture"; sounds a bit ethnocentric). Second, similar myths throughout various cultures is quite common and is no basis for a real historical record. Finally, this world of ours is pretty crowded with people; it would be impossible for a creature of such size to stay hidden from us.

there is no info that dragons did exist. genuinely it is extra mandatory whilst discussing the existence of mythical creatures. no longer one fossil or skeleton of a dragon has ever been got here across, so what reason is there to have self assurance in them? as nicely, the assumption of a creature that would desire to breathe hearth is largely ridiculous. it would critically burn itself each and every time it breathed. sounds like particularly a common errors. No. Dragons have on no account existed.

You know I think they had to exist. I find it really interesting that countries like Asia and Europe all have this idea about a fire breathing dragon. I think we just haven't found the location of the bones to prove they really existed. The world is a big place.

Yes, there is a record of dragons in the Bible. Not to mention every civilization has a record of dragons. I also believe they still exist in parts of africa, and asia

Dragon myths probably had roots in the dinosaurs because that's the only thing that sounds even remotely logical.

i believe dragons exist on a different 'level' to the material level where our bodies presently exist.
i believe everything we create exist, also the things we create in our imagination.
when we limit ourselves to this material world everything becomes so...unreal :)
why don't we open up and accept who we really are?
