although my system says it is working fine I can't get on the web with it.it is my first experience with wireless am i doing something wrong?

Do you have a wireless router and a high speed internet modem and a high speed internet connection?

Check the Network Setting and make sure of the Following:
1- The User Name or the Password are Correct.
2- The Service is Active From the Provider.
3- The Sub Net Mask from the Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections. and right Click the wireless network Connection that you use to Connect to the internet then Click " Status ". On the Top tab Click " Support ". Check the Details there and Make Sure that the Subnet Mask (255.255.255.0) "For Most Networks". If Not You should Reconfigure it to Be. Please Contact me if you face any troubles with the Network Configuration.

i can help you but i need more info.like what kind of modem you have and wheither it was wireless.
