I thought we saw those teams play each other, and didn't OSU win? Blame the BCS if you are unhappy with the team match ups.

You know, thats a way I never looked at it, i bet meisters right, I bet Ohio State would love to play Michigan in the championship game, It would make it so much sweeter to beat your rival for the championship...not to mention the fact that the BCS is in fact retarded, it makes no sense for a team to drop positions when they miss one week, michigan got penalized by not having a conference championship game? Florida beat Arkansas in the conference championship game, so that makes them better because Michigan doesnt have one? Urban Meyer is a flip flopping politician who supports the BCS whenever it is going to help him and is against it when it works forthe other guys...(see january ESPN mag article about it) and the whole system is retarded...I like the bowls, but your never gonna get an undisputed champion without a playoff, the BCS bowls can host all the play off games if they are that worried about money, it would get more money because its more games and every game is still win or go home. Take the top 8 and have a 3 week playoff...keep all the other bowls besides BCS bowls for the other teams not ranked in the top 8, hell you can even keep the BCS rankings in place, usually they have the top 8 or 10 right, jus not in the right order. I've got nothing against the florida players, I think they are great players and probably great kids...I think Urban Meyer is turning football into politics which is sad....overall I just hate the BCS and it should be trashed...College athletes arent allowed to be given a single cent but the Administration and AD's are so money hungry they cant do whats best for the players?? thats just sad

Actually I've never agreed with the BCS or any national championship "POLL". I said it 20 years ago and still think there should be a National Playoff.
Instead of these crappy warm up games at the beginning of the season I think the last 2 games of the year should have all Conference winners play (by draw of course) each other.
On the 3rd week playoffs begin with remaining teams. Adding maybe at most a 12th or 13th game for some.

They were #3 in the NEXT to LAST WEEK. They lost the #2 spot to USC, who then proceded to lose to UCLA and their Title Hopes were killed. Michigan sat Idle so blame the Big 10. They could have waited longer to start their season or held an extra bye week to make up for not having a Championship game. The Big East schedule actually ran a week longer then the Big Ten and then a team or two still had a game in what was otherwise Championship week.

Michigan is the second best team in country, and the saddest thing about it is that EVERYONE outside of the State of Florida and the SEC states admits it. Yet FLorida is playing for the National Championship. And the only real reason ive heard from everyone is, "oh, theyve played already, i dont want to see that game again"... what the F*ck does THAT mean!!? They are or are not the second best team in country, and if they are, they should be playing the number 1 team in country... It just Boggles the mind the garbage that goes on in college football... Teams in the NFL play each other all the time and then meet in Superbowl... its such Horse Sh*t. I think Michigan would Beat Florida, i KNOW Ohio States going to Rip FLorida a New one.... The Wrong Two teams are playing for the Title.. its a shame. ANd im NOT a Michigan Fan, i follow Boston College and LSU

OK, let's go over this one more time for the morons out there who seem to base the season on one game only:
- Florida beat more teams who did not have losing seasons (9 vs. 6 for Michigan)
- Florida beat more teams with winning records (7 vs. Michigan's 4)
- Florida beat more Top 25 teams than Michigan (3 vs. 2)
- Florida won its conference, the toughest in the country, while Michigan finished second in a conference that this year flat out sucked (if you don't believe me, I offer for evidence Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, as well as a Wisconsin team that didn't play anybody)
Florida has a better resume and deserves to be there. Case closed. As Colin Cowhert said, I don't need to see Michigan play Ohio State again. I've already seen this game a number of times. Buckeyes win, Wolverines lose, Carr gets outcoached big time by Tressel, Troy Smith eats Michigan's defense for lunch.

I think Mich. should be (and still could be) playing for a national Championship. Yes I said still could be....because you never can tell in the NCAA...if the OSU/FLA game is sloppy and Mich. puts it to USC pretty good we could see a split championship. Some people said the BCS would fix this problem...that about 2003 with USC and Oklahoma...guess it could happen. But back to the question....yes Mich. should be in the game against OSU....because it should be a game between the 2 best teams in the nation and those are the 2 best. I don't care if they played a home and home series this season already....the 2 best teams should play for the championship. This is why the NCAA Div. 1A needs a tournament.

this is not purely a threat, yet very probable. Ohio State could easily be undefeated, and Michigan's purely actual undertaking could come from #19 Iowa in acouple of weeks. and you're good, they only approximately easily won't play for the national Championship, through fact purely one would be undefeated on the tip of the season, as will a minimum of between the communities you pronounced, in all probability USC.

Let me answer your question this way, If Michigan played Florida, Michigan would most likely beat Florida. Hence in my opinion Michigan should deserve the spot in the BCS Title game. But that is a hypothetical. If and only if. On paper, Florida played in a tough SEC division and beat all but one (in a very close game with controversial calls). So I think Florida is justified to play in the BCS title game. In my opinion, either of these teams Michigan or Florida is qualified to play in the BCS title game. But unfortunately only one can play. Even though by a small margin, Florida got the votes. So let them play. There can be only one president even though he got elected by a very very small margin.

I know. I am from Michigan and a fan!!! I think that they should replay each other but people don't want to see a rematch, they want something interesting. Stupid people!! I think it is unfair that a team that NEVER played the number 1 team gets number 2 in ranking? Come on Michigan played number 1!!!!! Yes they lost but they still played them. And who did Florida play? It is just stupid!!! I hope that Michigan kills USC on Monday! I live in southern Cali and going to a party with only 1 other Michigan fan there but I will go for Michigan forever! I would have loved to see USC play Ohio State though...then we would see who the better team is between USC and Michigan. We do need to be happy though because last year Michigan played horrible!!! This year they lost 1 game...GO WOLVERINES!!!!!!

No, Michigan was #3, USC was #2, all of the USC voters changed to Florida, becuase if you want to know who the real champion is you have to go out of a trashy conference, the Big Ten is decent, but it obviously isn't at the SEC calibre.
