Ok this maybe a little long. I like a really good friend of mine. I am unsure but have a feeling she kinda digs me. We talk almost everyday, in some form or fashion...from texts, emails, IM or phone. We kinda flirt...Recently she invited me to her sister's wedding shower(party) and met her family....some of my friends tell me that's a big sign??? I dunno my friend's are dudes and guys don't know ****! haha!
anyway last week we got together for xmas with a mutual friend of ours...exchanged gifts...etc...it was nice to hang out with them...
well the mutual friend noticed something weird between myself and our friend...she didn't say anything...but i broke down and told her how i felt about our friend and that i wanted to ask her out...
she didn't tell me not too...but also said she wasn't sure how my friend felt about me. she did notice something odd between us...
she told me to go for it...but im leary of ruining a friendship
what do you guys think should i go ahead and ask her out?

ask her out and let her know that you value your friendship with her. just be honest and she'll be honest. worst case she will say she is not interested but you'll never know unless you ask.

Well, you're really never going to know how she feels about you until you ask her out. If I were you, I'd ask her out now before the friendship gets bigger. But only do it if you think you can risk your friendship or if you're willing to try and keep your friendship alive despite the awkwardness and sting of rejection in case she DOES reject you.
There's a 50-50 chance here and I think the rest is just up to you, if you think you're willing to risk a decent friendship here for something more.

well let her know u like her but be sure to throw in there that if she dont feel the same that it wont hurt ur guys friendship
