is it possible for spiders to lay eggs inside of a human, and then the spider breaking out of the person's skin or something like that?

Everyone who said yes to this question really has no clue about spiders............
The have no means of laying eggs inside of a person, they have no ovipositors, and their eggs are simply laid onto surfaces. They could always lay eggs on you, if you you are incredibly lazy and never move, sure, they they would just think you are a warm wall. But even the slightest movements during egg deposition would deter the spider from laying their eggs there.
There are all sorts of these stupid rumours going around that are complete crap........sorry but its true and anyone who believes it, well you just got fished in.
Oh. and for the person who said it actually happened to a friend of theirs, that is a huge steaming pile of you know what................

Anyways no, it never happens.........why would a spider lay her eggs in a place that would eventually rub them off or squish them, think about it biologically.....all organisms want to perpetuate their genes, this means taking extra special care where they lay their eggs, that is why most spiders lay eggs, either in the web (or close to it), behind objects, like bark, or under leaves, or in the unreachable corners of rooms. They don't want their eggs to just be wiped off, then they just waisted all of that energy for nothing

Sorry if I came up a little sarchastic and abrupt, but this kind of stuff is just not right...............

No, so you don't have to worry about it. The last place any spider wants to lay it's eggs is in you. For many human parasites though, you're prime baby real estate.

well yes and no it didn't happen to a friend but to me. I did have a large bright yellow lump on my knee and it itched. Went to doctor who said to leave it and see what happened and at a party (of all places) I bumped it and baby spiders came out. I was living in South Africa at the time and had been camping but they said it was not anything indigenous as they had never heard of anything like that. But it did happen and I have several witness at the party to prove it!

Yes spiders can lay eggs in an open wound. It happened to a friend of mine. The wound healed, but there was still a bump that bothered her and began to itch. She didn't know, nor did her doctor know why her wound healed but developed what they thought was an abscess. So the doctor lanced it open and loads of tiny spiders and dirt like stuff were cleaned out. It was a very gross experience that I learned from. Always keep open wounds covered at least until they develop a scab.

This truly did happen an is not sci fi, but it could be how sci fi got the idea.

No. However, there are some flies that can. So be nice to your spiders. :o)

You watch too many SF's, dude! I mean, yes they can, but the heat and lack of proper atmosphere in your body will kill the eggs b4 they hatch.
