I feel most of what people do is because of their social group, because their values tradition and culture are different from others, and although we are in a diverse world now, some social groups have passed a certain "modified" culture to be followed by others due to their situation. thus, I believe that people of an area become a group protecting , defending and supporting one another like brothers, but we see it as gangs.
Saying that, we all have this trait in our blood, but because our values have changed over the years we dont feel that strongly about people from our area, we only consider our immediate family members. It also could be that others deal with matters differently, some with violence , some with speech, this is a reflection from how they were brought up, within their own families. Thus, groups from a certain social background deal with problems and fears differently that others. This is all over the world.

**p.s. what i mean by "WE" is "I"

Your premise is not true, so no answer will be true either, except to deny the premise. Ever hear of the bloods and the crips? Not hispanic. Pretty good at gang wars, however. Maybe they do it best, even. Irish are pretty good at it in some places as well.

So I think you ARE a racist for singling out hispanics to illustrate some basic trait in human nature to malign just one group of those humans.

When I was in college I met with the analyst from our local police department. What she told me is that it isn't just specfic to hispanics. Gang wars include Asians, Hispanics, Latinos, Blacks, and Whites. I saw the statistics so she had proof to back up herself up. It all depends on where you live, what cultures are in the area, and what the predominant race is, as well as the status of the economy and how much poverty is there.

Take a good hard look at yourself, mate: "I'm not racist at all, but..." is the standard introduction for racist discourse; and your "question" is no exception to that rule.
