You tell me. This is the man who took his business abroad, to India I believe, for tax advantages. It probably cost the jobs of thousands here in UK.
Down with Dyson - I will never buy one of his blessed machines.

James Dyson has been knighted because he is the first person to perfect the vacuum cleaner. If you ask me, he deserves it. Why not recognize someone who was smart enough to create a vacuum that doesn't loose suction and never needs new bags, belts or filters.
I don't care where the guy makes his vacuums cleaners. The point is that they are the best vacuums that money can buy. In a period of four years, Dyson went from being a crack-pot inventor to the second largest manufacturer of carpet cleaners in the world.
I say give credit where credit is due. If you ever create a perfect version of a household appliance, I hope they knight you too.

God only knows why these people get knighted, I have come to the conclusion it depends on how much wealth they manage to accumulate (which is impossible in UK so they get around it by moving off somewhere else), crazy isn't it.
His vacuum cleaners are rubbish, far too heavy and bulky - you can tell he's never had to do the cleaning! I know a guy who makes his living by just repairing Dysons!

dyson sucks! Literally.
He perfected the vacuum that sucks and not lose the suction when it fills up like bagged vacuum. Just like everything else, it just cheaper to manufacture in other low paying countries.
I heard all the customer service jobs the U.S. outsources to India is now being outsources by India to Egypt.

As far as I'm concerned, he's the KING of my home because my carpet looks better now than it did two years ago when I bought my Dyson. Innovators need to be rewarded.

No Idea
Cyclonic separation units were in vogue more than sixty years ago and vacuum cleaners over one hundred years.
Perhaps a cash donation?

Mind you they are giving out knighthoods to everyone now. That (irish) oaf "bonio" got one. They'll be giving one to Ian Huntly next.
