I think the most important reasons for divorce are loss of trust and respect in the other person. These things lead to all kinds of other problems like cheating, lying, abuse in many forms. If these 2 things are lost in the relationship and cannot be repaired then the major foundation of marriage is also lost.

The top serious reasons for divorce are:
Money
Family: children or in-laws
Infidelity

A very common reason, vaguely disguised as the above, is boredom. Feeling alone, or feeling single in a partnership. Partners grow apart and do not forge a bond of togetherness with communication and common interests.

The number one reason for divorce is that you can no longer live as man and wife. When you can't find anything in common, and you actually can't stand the thought of them coming in the door for whatever reason, it is time. Is it ever time.

When you feel that your marriage is not going any where and you had tried to make it work. When your partner does not have desire in you, when your husband spend most of his times outside and you feel lonely and sacrificing for a relationship where only you seems to do the job.
When there is infidelity.
There are many, it really depends of what is important for you in that marriage.

The most common reason for divorce is financial problems.
But physical and mental abuse is one of the most important in my book. No one should stay in an abusive marriage - if it is you or your children that are being abused. Adultery is not something easily forgiven. There are lots of diseases out there besides the loss of trust and breaking of vows.

Every person needs to awnser this for themself.

There are just tooo many reasons to list and what might seem silly or small to one person, could be a major issue for another.
