Hello, can anyone tell me what the steps are in becoming a Lawyer? What should I major/minor in, in undergrad school? How many years does it take in total? Any info on what the steps are to become a Lawyer will be greatly appreciated! I am a Junior in High School. (Just to let you know). Thanks!

Usually 7 years - 4 year college degree (doesn't matter what major), 3 years of law school (think some states may allow some type of apprenticeship instead), and become licensed (usually pass the application process and pass the bar and/or other tests). As for major in college, study something that interests you and allows you to develop strong analytical and writing skills rather than prelaw (in case you change your mind about law).

Major in Prelaw get your bachelor degree, then go to law school, then you must take and pass the bar exam. Go speak with your counselor at school and they will help get you on the right track. Your high school should also have a career center usually near the counselors or the library. Ask about it, you should be able to get information on different career fields. You better get a move on though. Being a Junior you should have already been preparing to fufill the requirements of the college you would like to attend.

end extreme college first, then pass to varsity, get a level alongside the way, no longer forgetting to take pre-regulation! Then yet another 3 years could do it. you will make greater money than you ever dreamed accessible in case you're like my criminal expert--$20 an hour with a minimum of two hundred hours. Even i will diverse! $4000--that i've got not got. and that's his "friendly" value. So substitute into and criminal expert, get wealthy--yet in no way ignore your regulation clerk and paralegal who will do distinctive the artwork for you. Pay them properly and that they are going to stay with you for the time of your profession.
