You gotta work on your leg and lower back strength. Do excercises like squats, lunges, and maybe a stationary bike. Also, believe it or not, using a skipping rope helps develop "springyness" in your ankle.
I have been doing these exercises since March. I have gone from jumping 14-16" to jumping 24-25".
Give it a try.
Good luck!

Dunking is not as easy as it seems. You have to have confident in yourself first.
Okay: You can try the easier dunks, for example, lowering the basket a little big.
Second, you can stand right in front of the basket, jump straight up and dunk the ball that way, that's it, if you can jump that high. Practice that, and then gather a little before dunking, and then harder and harder.
Again, it's about confident, have confident for yourself and your strength.
Hope it's helpful.

Your legs probably aren't strong enough and you need to practice hand position and coordination on a smaller basket before trying the real thing.
Dunking is all about elevation, coordination, and timing. Sometimes it can be more mental than physical.

Maybe you don't have enough control over the ball. Practice with a smaller ball first.

Plyometrics. Go to YouTube and search plyometrics and look at the way they do those exercises that help your vertical leap. And keep trying and practicing you will eventually get it.
