I hear it's legal in some states to grow a plant? Is this true?

in some states it is "legal" to grow in ones garage or backyard if it is used as pain relief. i live in nsw and my friends dad had a back operation that went wrong and he was given doctors permission to grow it, however, he could not sell it or allow others to use it. hats really all i know about it. sorry.

Yes some is grown under a special licence for trials in clothing manufacture but the top leaves are carefully removed by police.
You can buy a pair of jeans made from marijuana.

I'm pretty certain you can have up to three plants per household (exclusively for personal use) in the ACT.
