I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and my baby is breached. How good are the chances of the baby turning around? How long would it usually take for the baby to turn?

Dont panic about this. I am now 41 weeks prego and my baby was breech right up until 36 and a half weeks. Usually in the last month they are toooooooooo big and can't turn after then. You still have at leat another 3 weeks. Your baby is probably turning around and around in their and you don't even know it. Its just bad luck that when you see your Dr, the baby is in the wrong position. Ask your doctor to confirm this. I am sure you will then feel reassured. No need to stress. These days anyway, I have read that the doctors can manipulate the baby to turn even at the last minute if necessary. Only a small percentage of babies are breech, so more than likely your baby will turn of its own accord in the next few weeks like mine did. Your baby is probably turning around and around every single day. Good Luck with it all.

My last baby was breech. The doctor told me some things to try. He said to kneel on the floor with a small stereo between my legs and to blast music as close to my stomach as possible for 20 to 30 minutes a time, several times a day. Keep your head on the floor and your bum up high, stay on your knees though. The music is supposed to scare the baby into turning. I didn't think this would work but it did. Keep doing this for as long as you can until your due date or until the baby turns. Another thing he said was to put my knees on the couch and the rest of my body on the floor resting on my elbows. I didn't try this because I was too big and I couldn't support my weight. I would ask your doctor about this before trying it to make sure it is O.K for your circumstances. There is still time for your baby to turn. Good Luck!

The baby can turn even when your water breaks. As a matter of fact, my nephew was in a "normal" presentation until my sister's water broke, at which point he freaked and turned breach.
