It's a technology that I sometimes put to use for me convenience. It's sometimes helpful as it's easy to send things from one device to another within the bluetooth range. One thing that I dislike is that the range is restrained in nature.
Some mobiles which have this facility don't ask the users before receiving the message or any thing else. Nokia asks the user but Sony Ericsson straight away accepts the file to be transmitted. It's hence better when in public places to turn the bluetooth off, from your device as stated above in the case of Sony Ericsson mobiles as some people send viruses which upset and ruin the system.

Bluetooth comes in handy communicating wirelessly with a computer. You can also use the phone's data connection from the computer via Bluetooth if your provider has that service.
I haven't bought a headset yet, because I only use the phone occasionally.

I don't like bluetooths for one simple reason. This guy in a movie theater had his bluetooth earpiece on and flashing during the whole movie.
Also, why bother? For the majority of people, it's not hard to dial a phone. (No offense to those who do have trouble.) And as for other applications, I can't speak on them.

Bluetooth technology has its pros and cons, I personally like it however.
Bluetooth allows users to transfer files to and fro the phone via pc and another mobile device, and it allows them to recieve and make calls without using the phone's keypad. It even makes people listen to music through BT headphones.
But Bluetooth also kan kill your mobile's batteries, it has limited range (up to 100 m only) and using the BT extensively might cause the phone to receive viruses which may destroy the phone's systems.
