not a small number at all. The majority of black people I know are highly educated. I have a MD, attorney, college professor, psychologist, in the immediate family and I am a HR director. So no. Anyone who says differently is still in the dark ages.

What is the point of a question like this?

I oppose any questions that asks us to approve or disapprove of a stereotype. Why do you even want to know this? Who here can really answer this and whats the whole point? Stop indulging in your stupidity and read a book . Try to learn things that matter...

Like the fact that statisics are usually biased anyway, who does these surveys to know whether or not which demographics have which degrees and how do we know that they are accurate and everyone is included? THINK ABOUT IT!

I have to add this:
First off Black people gave Europe information that lead them to what they have today. Research-Nation of the Moores they control much of Europe for over 700 years before Europe had windows or shoes. Germany was completely control by that nation and civilized them. Dude Africans was made slaves they was beaten to become what white America at that time needed to control them.

Example: white slave master want to make point to new people becoming slaves so he would tie a mother to two horses and rip her body into two parts. That inflicted fear which brought on many many other problems.

So one day they said y'all go free-go! go where yall good whites folks raped us, beat us, murdered us, robbed our spirit crushed our soul and that's keeping it light. So, we good black folks after all that trauma just say, OK, we shrug all what was done to us and poof will fit right in without any issues just be as normal as everyone else. You think Jewish people are normal?

I wish then they had film in 1600's 1700' 1800's like the Jews maybe then people would understand there dumb *** question.

in a lot of areas, yes it is, because even though everybody in america should have gotten over these racism issues, we havent. its an ugly fact of life. But, on the other hand, there is one hell of alot of educated black peope, look around you. and you have to remember, alot of the grown black women and men in this time grew up in the time where there was a lot of prejudice issues, so they arent as much educated black people as there will be in 20-30 years from now

It is true that African-Americans are one of the lowest populations holding higher level degrees. However, due to opportunity and societal movements in mass, this is changing. Yay! It is easy to see, looking back at American history why this is the case. Even after the were oppressed for so long, why would they have eagerly sprang to the opportunity to conform? Nonsense. It is just in the past thirty or so years changing because with equality comes other benefits :).

There are a lot who are educated, refined and dignified. More than a lot of white people. I just met a couple the other day.
