he was the son of Abraham. he tried to offer his son to God
but God later told to offer the animal which was nearby instead of Isaac.

God was satisfied with Abraham's obedience towards Him

Issaac, was the son that Abraham was told to sacrifice, but then, after he had tied Issaac to an alter, God stopped him and told him that he had passed the ultimate test of his faith b/c he was willing to kill his son for the Lord! What a good man!!! Hope you find the info you're looking for!!
