I've noticed whenever I trust someone, I feel really confident. Now do you think when someone's girl friend or boy friend that doesnt trust them, even though they didnt do anything wrong to him/her has issues with themselves? Such as not being happy with themselves... or not being able to handle the feelings they get that are from the past that might be interupting the present feelings they should be getting? Jealosy is like taking over, and seems like it interfers with everything else.

Whats a good attitude to have when it comes to things like this?

keep in mind that if the person you care about has had bad experiances with others (like caught in a lie, or cheating) there may always be a nagging doubt and a lack of trust. then are some people who just never fully trust a person, no matter what. since it's nearly impossible to have a deep relationship without trust, you can try to be patient, and understanding. but if the person you care about, unfairly accuses you or never trust you, you'll be better off ending the relationship. it's not fair to you.

I've always felt that if a person is untrusting of their partner in a particular area, it's because they themselves cannot be trusted in that area. So they tend to try to "turn the tables" and make their innocent partner feel guilty. This lack of trust happens in other relationships and situatons as well, such as dealing with money or getting upset about spending too much time with friends. Some people are just extremely insecure within themselves, and therefore reflect that upon their partners by showing distrust.

well I think it has to do with dissatsifaction with a person's place in society, yes. if a preson is too controlling/ dominant, they will have problems trusting others with anything. it works the same with passive people - if they don't feel well they will have trouble trusting in others, even though their personality dictates that they do so. You must realize your own value, and your partners to be happy. cheers.
