There are no peace loving nations in the world. Surely you aren't referring to Europe as peaceloving. No people has caused more death and destroyed more lives than Europeans. How many people died so England could build an empire? What about Napoleon? What about Slobodan Milosevic? Do I need to mention Hitler and Stalin?
As for their reactions, they universally condemned his execution. Germany and France condemned the execution, but said it was up to the Iraqi people.

Funny you call us Peace loving when we have been at war longer than we were involved in World War II! We have 25,000 dead or wounded in Iraq, but we have 500 more millionaires made off of the money earmarked for Iraq! No wonder the troops could not get Armored Humvees!
There were 112 body bags brought home from Iraq this month so I don't think we are very peace loving, especially since Hussein had nothing to do with terrorist or 9/11!

Most people ,like me think ,yes, he deserved to die.
But at the hands of Bush was the real travesty.
It would have been better if it were all on the Iraqis part with NO U.S involvement

Ever heard of Chemical Ali? If so, you would not be against Saddam's execution. He was responbible for countless murders of his own citizens.
