why does water come up when u suck with a straw?
The same way, air is forced to SEEP in through the sides of your garage door when u open the main door inorder to equalize the pressure.
* When u open the main door, the pressure inside is reduced.
Inorder to equalize the pressure, more air seeps in from outside through your garage door.

When you push open the door to your house it acts like a very large piston in an air pump causing the presser to drop or rise depending on which way the door opens even a poorly fit door will do this if you open it quickly. and it is the rapid change in air presser that makes the door woosh . Or it could be the air conditioner or heater building a positive presser inside your house. If the wind noise continues when you hold the door open a crack then it’s the AC

In simpler terms your house is sealed pretty air tight and so air has a hard time entering or leaving. In turn an inwards/outwards wind draft is created whenever a door is swung open...Tom Science 4
