I used to have a problem with it... jealosy is a terrible thing. Now I love to see my friends and loved ones do their best and get the recognition they deserve. I serve the Lord, and He sees what I do... I need no eartly reward.

:)

Sometimes when I am skiing I have to let people go ahead. It isn't that I can't keep up, it is because I am not racing or on the same page as them. I had one of those moments today where I had a sore back and the wrong wax on my ski's. The young lad I passed later passed me and I took an alternate route which allowed him to shine on. It was the seventh day in a row for me, seven days of wet snow. The good part might be that he will be much sorer than me. The goal is to do it again the next day so the actual accomplishment is longevity. Plus I am a seasoned veteran and the young bulls should always lead the pack. I wish that there were more of them.

I have come a long way, and realize I still have a long way to go. For those who don’t know me well I can be very abrasive at times and extremely demanding. I want things done now, and I want them done right the first time. When that doesn’t happen I look to see why the person isn’t performing to my, sometimes unrealistic, expectations. When I finally come to my senses I realize that people that work with me don’t love my business like I love my business and to expect them to always perform like it is life or death is silly on my part.
You see often people that you perceive as “slackers” simply need to be presented with the right situation to shine. I have been around long enough to see several people that I never though would “make it” end up doing great things in areas that they weren’t involved in at all just a few years ago. The problem is finding or creating that perfect situation where you can shine!
I believe one of the key areas that separates successful people from unsuccessful is a persons ability to create an environment where they can show off their stuff. Every person on this earth has incredible potential. I see it everyday. It isn’t judged on money, or how big your house is, but on whether or not you can look yourself in the mirror and say “I did well. I made the most of what I have been given.”
Find your niche and it will be your moment to shine! Stick with it and you can have a satisfying life day in and day out!
Thanks,

I'm fine with it. Actually, I'm waiting for someone to shine. This place is so dull and I need a brilliant star--even if (s)he is arrogant, cocky, and better than I am. I think I'd be less content to let others shine if I were male, though. That ego can be torturous, can't it?

I like to see others shine and have no problem with that, i will always make way for others to shine especially those who feel they cant, but really deserve to....the sweetest thing is when someone who dosent even try to shine has something about them that will always shine, that is so beautiful.

To be honest, I don't like it much. I am a Leo and like the limelight. I like attention. Come to think about it I am a good cheerleader. Usually the first to give a high five. So I guess yes I let others shine but I prefer it to be me.

Well it depends what that means. Like it's not too good if a dictator shines as s/he is opressing the rest of us. But, sure, let some nice, hard working person get the wages or their work. Sure, of course.

I like siting back and watching other people shine especially when they have worked really hard. It's nice to see that and be happy for someone else. It shows that you are not that self centered, brings out good qualities in yourself. But I do like to shine too.

Yes, I'm one of the few that don't generally mind being behind the scenes. However, I react to those constantly demanding the limelight when they don't deserve it, esp. when I am working hard and feel that I am doing a great job. But, I am the first to acknowlegde a job well done and offer tons of encouragement along the way.
