Approximately every 20 days. The females can get pregnant right after delivery of the first litter. And their female babies can become pregnant at only 5-6 weeks old. We raise dwarf hamsters and mice are just like them. We had 2 females, one delivered on 12/3 & 12/23/05, the other delivered on 12/5 & 12/24/05. That's only 20 and 19 days between each litter. So, if not you breeding for snakes or for selling, keep you male and female seperate.

The gestation period is approximately 19 days. Mice can hear when they are about 11 days old, and will open their eyes and begin to nibble solid food when they are about 2 weeks old. The weaning age is 3-4 weeks with sexual maturity occurring at 5 to 7 weeks. The normal age of the female at her first litter could be as early as 4 weeks. The average life span is about 2 years.

The average litter is 6-9 mice. They are usually born at night and are deaf, blind and hairless.

Mice can have litters 9-10 times in one year healthfully.
