STAYING HOME.
I'm spending the evening with the Marx Brothers on TCM.
I was a bartender for years, and that killed my interest in New Year's Eve forever.
It's the mother of all Amateur Nights. People go out who don't, normally, and they don't know how to act, how to drink, or how to tip. I remember one year when I'd just left a restaurant job, and I was mopping my bathroom floor and happened to look up and notice it was about midnight. I heaved a huge sigh, relieved I wasn't anywhere near a drunk clownhole.
Y'all take care, and remember there are free sober rides in most cities these days.
