Yes but not just to sound grown up.
It is also their way of becoming more independent and making their own choices and doing their best to not conform to their parents ideal behavior.

Not One Bit I Use Them Because Its A Lot Of What Was Sed When I Was Growimng Up.. God I Curse So Much I Dont Relise It I Dont Think It Makes Me Sound Grown Up Nor Do I Care If It Makes me Sound Childish Its Just A Part of The Vocab.. Its Like My Friend Josh He Wont Curse At All Because His Father Or Any One In His Family Curses They Think Its Immoral.. But On The Other Hand My Nephew Says S*** Punk A** But Never Says The F word And His Father Doesnt Use The F Word But Uses The Same Phrases His Son Does.. So Ithink Its Learned And Just Becomes A Part Of Your Natural Vocabulary..

This is a ridiculous question.
No, I don't believe adolescents use profane words to either
A. Sound Cool Like Mom & Dad (like I heard a friend say f***face and thought it sounded cool, so then i started using it.
or B. Their dad cusses a lot and he admires his dad and wants to use profane words like daddy.
More importantly, in the sentence above do I say "I don't believe neither A nor B." or "I don't believe either A nor B." or the original version up there or what?

I agree with Kodee. They pick it up somewhere and it just comes out without necessarily consciously deciding to use that word.

I THINK IN SOME CASES YES. BUT SOME CHILDREN SAY IT JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE GROWN UP AROUND IT. YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER CHILDREN HANG ON TO EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY AT A YOUNG AGE.

No, I think it is for shock value and to see how far they can get away with it until someone says they shouldn't.
