oh yes millions of times while I was growing up there. Living in Philippines, it is the only means of transportation for me. Now and years later, I dont ride them anymore as I have bought a Van which I and my family use when we go there for vacation. I am glad I dont have to ride them nowadays though because they seem to be crowded all the time, most jeepneys has stereo blasting lound HIP HOP music which I do not appreciate at my age.

I used to when I was still there. It can get pretty scary at times because drivers, especially young ones drives way too fast. I also tried one that gave me a headache because it had loud speakers and stuff. The 'compression thing' is true, Filipino barkers have mastered fitting in 20 people on a jeep for 15 or 16 people.

Yes. both the homemade jeep and jeepney. It's noisy, smokey, and with the low ceiling you hit your head at every bump. (Filipinos don't have that problem because they're smaller people).

fun to ride. i like it when the driver steps hard on the break and everyone slides on their seats towards the front of the jeepney and everyone gets squished, like in a mosh pit. what i don't like about it is you have to bend down really low to get in and out of it. i'm afraid one of these days, i will just fart on someone's face. how embarrassing is that?! hehehe...

Thank goodness for Filipino friends, fairly on the holiday journeys and Filipino community Day. We get to attempt all of us's pancit noodles, flavor a good number of seafood, and this one woman makes a superb pineapple and cashew cake. I make persimmon and tamarind cookies and they love my chocolate and walnut fudge. i can't devour sufficient limpa spell. best of success to you!!
