My dad. My dad came to this country fleeing the poverty of Ireland at the early age of 16.He worked a few jobs Married my mom He worked the next 23 years at Eaton driving truck while my mom raised us 11 kids. They paid off the house. During all this time dad always taught us to love life, trust God, their is always hope..When Eatons closed it's catalogue my dad still had 8 young children to feed things were looking dire. Then he met Andrew Simone. He has worked for Andrew ever since. They also load containers of food to send to the most poverty ridden spots on the planet. In 2001 Mom died and dad partially retired and started travelling the world visiting the missions that Andrew set up. After containers are emptied people are on waiting lists to use them as homes, they are considered a luxury.
My dad is not important in the eyes of the world but He is super generous and a lot of peoples lives will be so worse off when he passes. Years back I know that while he and mom were struggling with all the kids, he new of a neighbour about to loose his house. The couple had 4 children my dad arranged with the bank to anonymously pay off the house. That is just my dad.
