I was in the grocery store not long ago, and I saw this 7 or 8 year old boy yelling at his mother. She acted like she was afraid. If it would have been me, I probably would have worn that *** rite out IN the store. Why are parents scared to discipline their children anymore?

You're right that many parents are afraid to discipline their kids anymore. It's like we've forgotten how, and it worries me. If parents don't teach their kids respect then we're all gonna be in trouble!

I'm all for discipline. But I don't agree with ever hitting a kid. My brand of discipline seems to work fine though. I'll get kids that throw temper tantrums over the tiniest thing, and by the second day with me they know they won't be able to get away with that anymore. all without laying a hand on them or doing anything abusive.

Hitting a kid is not the answer. Removing the child from the situation is. Maybe you wouldn't be so angry if you were removed from certain situations. Did your parents beat you? This is a serious question, you could have problems later in life because of what happened as a child. A hatred of women or abuse of your own children. Spare the rod, remove the child from the situation. Try a hug, or just talk to them to comfort and relax them. Good luck with the anger issues!

Because the liberals tell us that laying a hand on a child is morally reprehensible. I know I was spanked as a child-- probably only once or twice, but it let me know that there was a consequence to my actions, and gave me a reason not to do it again.

Backhand the son-of-a-gun, they can only call CPS if it is an abuse case, which means that it is done repetedly on an almost daily occurance. An occasional slap to a kid to get him/her to behave isn't a bad thing, but when you smash a kids face in, that's when it becomes a problem

Not at all. Discipline your child with the rod. That's how i became a well behaved teen instead of a drunk party animal.

i might by no skill enable my little ones act out like that for the time of a public place. i would not cave into regardless of they have been attempting to realize yet i would not forget approximately approximately them and enable anybody go through. i might the two take them outdoors or attempt to calm them down (they are truly very solid little ones and this very hardly takes place) by utilising the two being strict with them or reasoning reckoning on the area. i think of you get some factors for attempt here. i might lots greater delight in a mom attempting her suited to handle the area whether she fails than a mom ignoring it.

Disciplining is one thing back handing is something else. I don't know if you know it or not but you can put a lot more power in a back hand than a straight on punch or hook. Even with boxing gloves on.

This only reflects the lack of any discipline in the home.

Backhanding? Ask yourself if you'd want to be backhanded. I think not.

Discipline is one thing. Physical violence is entirely another, and morally reprehensible.
