yes I have and am currently in love with someone I have never physically met.Sometimes you don't need the physically when you have the emotional-love is above all else an emotion,you can feel love even when you cannot touch it.

I have loved those I have never met, but falling in love is a big thing. I don't know if I could ever fall IN love with someone I have never met.

I believe love is a metaphor for missed connections; we all have soulmates, not just one, that's a misconception. Have you met a person for the first time and felt as if you knew them before and are extremely comfortable talking to them? - classic example.
Sad, when analyzing the phrase- better to have loved than not loved at all, how can someone compare it when there is nothing there to begin with? - does that make sense?

I have fallen in interest... in flirtation... in admiration... in fascination... but never have I fallen in love with someone I've never met. Who knows? There's always a first time for most things...
