There are so many things, but sometimes they can be easy to forget during the challenging times: knowing I have the power to choose, women, nature, respect, wisdom, music, silence, research, subtle but important things, ethics, integrity, humor everywhere I look....

Thoughts of the person I love.
Spending time with my dear friends every Sunday night for dinner.
Sometimes it's what has gotten me through the rough times.
Music by Miranda Stone, especially live, in her apartment, or at a festival. Music by Mark Weinstock, also live. FUN!
Spending time with my little niece and nephew, and realizing all over again how bright and wonderful and beautiful and creative and smart they are.
How's that for a start?

seeing simple things happen in nature, a peaceful sunrise, sunsets over the calm lake when no one else is around, swimming a the beach, hiking in the remote wilderness and not thinking about my other life, watching a butterfly. Basically seeing anything happen that isn't man-made.

I really don't think I know because every time and I mean every time I get or acquire or achieve something, anything that I thought would make me happy, it doesn't.
But everyday that I get to spend with our eight year old, makes my heart sing.

Watching my man, the love of my life, come through the door when he's been out of town for a week or so.

I would have to say peace of mind. It doesn't matter how you get peace of mind, but without it you cannot sleep at night, and you cannot eat at all. Being able to sleep as soon as your head touches the pillow without tossing and turning all night is GREAT.

When I know that someone who I love, truly loves me back. Every once in a while, I can feel it deep down and I love that feeling.
The ocean can sometimes make me feel that way too.

Having a really bad laugh that hurts your stomach. I know laughing is great but it gets bad when you do it too hard and too much that it hurts. lol. I also enjoy House music!
