So what do I do? Should I go against better judgement and contact them or not and just live in wonder until it dies away? I am so curious as to how this person is doing and what is going on with my old friend. But I am not supposed to contact him and I have not since August. He leaves little sayings out beside his name in Msn messenger to let me know very little and that is the only contact I have seen with him. I know he says silly things to get my attention --out from his name and he replies to my silly comments in his own, discreet way. I just want to say fck it and do what I want. I miss chatting with him and he is like hundreds of miles away. what should I do? Leave it as is or what?

It sounds like you've just had a Msn msngr. relationship with this person and not a personal one. You mentioned that you aren't supposed to contact him. Did he ask you to leave him alone?
In any form of a relationship, if one party is not willing to reciprocate, you should respect their wishes. It takes two to make a friendship or a personal relationship work.
If you decided not to contact him and changed your mind since August - contact him but before you do, remember why you wanted to end the conversation back then (refer to paragraph above). There must have been a reason why you did end it. Good Luck and Be Safe!!!

First u need 2 think about what do want 2 happen if u do contact him. Is it worth a long distance relationship (that u know don't ever work). Little gestures are sweet but don't throw your heart into them. If you don't mind being the one that Perseus then it's cool. think about if you guy's have something that was worth still pondering over. Flings are nice but that's all the are.If you are ready for a true commitment understand now it takes more than gestures.

Sounds like long distance flirting. I'm just curious why you're not supposed to contact him. I don't know, it kind of sounds like that old saying, "forbidden fruit taste the best." I think you should break it off because it wasn't meant to be in the first place for some reason.
