Fate is as simple as understanding that 4 is the fate of the equation 2+2. At its simplest, fate is the logical result of all the denominators of your existence.

If you were not who you were, you would not be where you are now, and you would never have gone to where you are going; good and/or bad. Lonliness prepares people for happiness; poverty can only inevitably lead to wealth. When you get to the top of the mountain, fate can only bring you in one direction.

You can't have destiny without an awful lot of fate going on, both known and unknown.

As much as I'd love to believe that I have the power to control my own destiny...aka: Being the master of my own fate...I've been led to know otherwise.

But that doesn't mean I won't fight fate the entire time it's trying to drag me in a direction I don't want to go... :) And all the while I'll have my favorite greeting finger up for fate's enjoyment.

Lots of people believe in fate.
But I'm not one of them.

Things happen, and you act accordingly.
People blame "fate" when things happen that they don't expect and don't like.
It's a bit of a cop-out, really.

Somewhat. Genetically our fate is determined, but truly all in all, our only fate is what we make.

I believe in destiny. We all have one. Fate is more of a negative term, in my belief.

No, I believe in G*d who decides fate and destiny. What luck, eh? I'd rather have G*d decide that than me.
