AS Im sitting here typing this my eyes are drooping and I keep knodding off but when I go up to bed, all I do is lay there with my eyes closed..my brain is still going 100 miles a minute...Im having full conversations with myself in my head (not out loud..Im not crazy...really, I swear!) while Im trying to sleep. Its been 2 days now and Im completely exausted.
A few weeks ago I fell and twisted my neck a little which caused me to have a severe headache for 5 days in which I didnt sleep. Ever since then, Ive had a really hard time sleeping normally.
Have you got any ideas?

Get your spine checked. Sounds like you have a pinched nerve or you are too stressed. Get into a routine..

Emotional stress or excitement can interfere with sleeping patterns, as can some medical conditions and medication. Food additives and caffeine can also make falling asleep difficult.

One of the possible side effects of a continued lack of sleep is death. Usually this is the result of the fact that the immune system is weakened without sleep. The number of white blood cells within the body decreases, as does the activity of the remaining white blood cells. The body also decreases the amount of growth hormone produced. The ability of the body to metabolize sugar declines, turning sugar into fat. One study stated that people who sleep less than four hours per night are three times more likely to die within the next six years. Although the longest a human has remained awake was eleven days rats that are continually deprived of sleep die within two to five weeks, generally due to their severely weakened immune system.

I suggest you seeing a doctor if this condition persists.

you may have a sleep disorder, you could be over tired or you could be worried about missing out on answers... try closing your eyes with music on and the volume way down low. concentrate on the words. learn to empty your head. after all your mind running 100mph is only you talking to yourself, so be quiet...don't say a word.. if you can master this, it's a great stress reliever. very few can do it.

relax ur mind ur too excited an that incident last week probalbly caused some temporary trauma. just try not to irritate it and RELAX! being excited might also have something to do with it because it increases the rate of brain activity.

See a doctor please- tomorrow or today, depending what time it is where you are. Three days without sleep will make you become depressed- you might even start hallucinating. That accident definitely needs to be mentioned to your doctor.
