I definately believe that is way too young. For one, at 18 your body is in beautiful form, why would you want to mess with that? For another, you (well your friend) may be grown and feel like an adult, but how much is going to change in 10 years? Tell her to just be happy with what she has been given. There will always be someone more gorgeous than you, but on the same note, you will always be more gorgeous than someone~

It's not too young, but I personally feel she should wait a few years and really think this through. She shouldn't rush into such serious surgery and she needs to be aware of the long term implications. It's like the saying, 'a puppy is not just for christmas, it's for life'. Well breast implants are a life long committment and she has to be prepared for possible complications along the way, such as leakage if the implant shell ruptures or capsular contracture where the scar tissue surrounding the implant becomes hard and can cause deformities in the breast. She definitely needs to think this through very carefully before going ahead.

This is a big trend. I honestly believe she has no idea if her breasts are even done growing. I remember wanting a new car when I graduated. But, she is techically an adult and if she really wants it, she'll get it even if it isn't gifted to her.
Every woman is going to look like Barbie in 20 years. I am 30 and I am waiting until I start going south, but I am totally for breast augmentation-- even all other plastic surgery. I mean, we have all of these scientific breakthroughs, why not take advantage.
Bottom line-- if her parents can afford it, more power to her. If she regrets it, she can always have them removed at a later date.

i agree that it is too young. however a case could be made for a young woman who is absolutely flat chested.
that would be the only reason to consider it and she and her mother need to interview several plastic surgeons to get different opinions. then go online and check out the doctor's record. also, go to a site called helpmeheal. com and go into the message boards to get some real insight.
breast augmentation is "real" surgery and it takes the body a least a year to recover from major surgery. also, you can count on some numbness which in rare circumstances does not ever go away.

Nah.....18 is too young and even if she's like 30 I still would disagree.I prefer natural beauty. If I had to choose between the most beautiful girl in the world with unnatural beauty(plastic surgery)and an average looking girl.I would prefer the average one.By the way,you can tell when someone have had breast enhancements....

If it helps to increase your friend's confidence then I'd say go ahead but if it's just for fun then I'd say, wait and think. Your friend is still young. She might regret this in the future especially if something goes wrong during the surgery. Now, would she want to spend the next 30 years of her life having disproportional breasts or scarred breasts if something did go wrong? Doubt it. So before she makes any rash decision, think of the risks first. Think of the long term consequences.

honestly while doctors do it they shouldn't. Many women continue to grow breasts after they turn 18 even right up until about the age of 21. Personally while I would love to have a larger bust size at the age I'm at now (18) I wouldn't because of what I've mentioned above. Good Luck.

A parent that would give their child new boobs for graduation is screwed up in the head.
18 is too young unless a disease condition has caused some sort of deformation. That's a life long choice let her know. They don't last forever and she will spend the rest of her life going under the knife to maintain them.

Too young. They might change their minds when they get older. I would try a silicon bra for a while first and do all the research and they should be able to pay for it themselves since it is a 'luxury' type of thing and not necesary. Implants dont last for ever, and at 18 your still growing
