How do I find out what year windows XP i have?

go to my computer and on left side it should say view system information

Right-clicking My Computer and selecting Properties will show you if you have Windows XP, Windows XP Service Pack 1, or Windows XP Service Pack 2.
I'm not sure what you mean by the year. They all say 2002.

Windows XP was introduced October 25, 2001. The last update was December 13, 2006.
If you have kept it updated it is current. In other words, you have the 2006 model.

right click on my computer and go to properties it will tell you the version, you may need to update at microsofts website
