u can reformat a cd-rw, not a cd-r
it's just a one way traffic
u could have only one 25 kb file on it & yet burnt up entire cd
get a new one
use multisession when writing to cd-r
meaning the option to add files later

You think it is empty?
Find out for sure, put it in, go to my computer, and click on CD-ROM. See if it is truly empty.
If it's been recorded once, then you can't again.
