I think you have a great definition already! But...trust...I think of trust as a feeling of confidence that you can depend on another person (on many levels). There are several levels to trust, I think. There is the basic trust that most people have, even in strangers, that the general person is not going to hurt you. Then there is being able to take what someone says as the truth. It also involves the ability to open up to a person without fear of judgment or negative consequences. Just some thoughts. But I like your definition best :]

Trust? It's the most important thing in any intimate relationship we have....In marriage, it's a must have..With it, many things can be overcome, without it, no relationship will last and remain healthy...It's definition is tough, but when I think of the word "trust", I equate it to happiness. When I'm with someone I trust, I can be myself, without any fears or hangups......& that makes me pretty happy.

When I trust someone it means that I know they will keep my secrets. Trust is believing in someone else. Trust means relying on someone else

Trust, what does it mean to me... well, being honest, keeping promises, belief in others, and good relationship with them. Trust helps build a better relationship with others; you are more open when you have trust.
trust: being honest, not breaking promises, keeping each other's secrets, and believing in the friendship you have.

trust maintains the balance of a relationship; without that balance,it would be hard to restore the lost identity and dignity,,,
trust is a word no one, not even a genius could define,,, since it is acted,, not said,,,, trust is the essential ingredient of a harmonious relationship but even though it is essential, it is very rare,,,, it is difficult to find,,, but easily lost,,,
i just lost one recently,,,

trust is undeniable faith in another person. once you break that trust, it's difficult to recover. trust can have many different variances based on the different types of relationships you have with people.
