It's like this: Muslims sacrifice animals on Eid-ul-adha (the feast of sacrifice, second feast of the Muslim calendar), so the Americans decided to sacrifice Saddam on this day... Get it?...Yeah.
And, by the way, America had a MAJOR say in the decision!!!! Most news stations even admit it, ya'all. Who made America the boss of the world in the first place? Just cause it's a highly industrialized nation? Oh, please... That gives it NO right to decide who should be executed and who shouldn't be! Doesn't anyone see that Bush is a tyrant in many ways too??? Come on now, people!!!! Let's be reasonable and open our eyes and see what injustice Bush is all about too! Most rulers have always been cruel.... Bush just didn't like Saddam because Bush darling had personal feelings against Saddam!
Yep, it certainly was an insult to millions of Muslims and will further divide the Sunnis and Shias.
What are they achieving by the execution? Simply personal satisfaction! The Shias hate Sunnis, and the non-Muslims hate Sunnis (and Shias too sometimes).... And Saddam was a Sunni....
Now, considering how many people Saddam killed, can we say the same about Bush??? He's (indirectly) killed innocent people all over too!!! IMAGINE THAT!!!!!! What about the war that's going on now? Will it come to an end, or is Bush's greed for oil gonna be proven to the world now? Why's the war still continued, people?
Plus, they think maybe he'll go to hell for all that he did. But the truth is, we DON'T know if he'll go to hell or not! Who're we to decide? We already decided for him to be executed, so isn't that enough a decision that humans had to make for him? The rest is up to God, and whatever decision God makes will be the Perfect and Just one. Humans can't judge fairly, whether it's rewarding the person or punishing the person.
So, question: Now that Saddam is dead, will the war end? I highly doubt it.
Nevertheless, Peace and blessings be upon all, and Eid mubaarak!!!

Saddam punished people who raised the voice againt the guideline of the rustic. What Amercan or the different united states do if there is a few voice of agitation against the rustic...i think of no united states will undergo the guy or the community who's raising against the rustic they are residing. Shittes have been spying for Iran for the time of the Iran-Iraq conflict so he gave them the punishment.merely like the Hitler the large had completed with the aid of punishing the traiter of Germany. The execution of Saddam will consequence in large and extra large repultion againt the enemy forces alll over the international.

I was under the impression that the Eid celebration was not necessarily on the same day. The observation varies from country to country. In Egypt they celebrate on Saturday, where as other regions celebrate it on Sunday. If this is true, then maybe they took it into consideration and executed him either the day before or the day after they celebrated Eid in their region. I would try and ask someone from Iraq which day they celebrate Eid.

Is this a question designed to brainwash people into believing that Bush had ANY say so at all in the execution procedure? The Iraqi courts/government made all of the decisions and I believe they are Muslims so obviously it must not be a problem. Right?

Sorry to disappoint you but the US and President Geo Bush had nothing to do with the trial, sentence, and its review and implementation. If you will do a little research you will find that the death penalty was eliminated from the initial Iraqi Constitution and later made a part of the laws of Iraq by Iraq's government. What is dividing the two sects in Iraq and elsewhere is each other. Look into your own house beforre casting blame upon your neighbor.

To further insult you, the Iraqi government executed Saddam not George Bush and Noori Maliki. Therefore the Iraqi officials picked and are responsible for the day he was executed on. Get your facts straight. It is an insult to me that you post something you are ignorant about.

Hellooooo....... George Bush didn't execute Saddam. As I recall it was an Iraqi judge who sentenced him to death.
This is just another excuse the Shiite's and Sunni's will use to go after each other exactly as they have for centuries. They do not want peace, they want to annihilate each other in the name of the god they both claim to serve. If one faction manages to destroy the other they will then go after Israel for one reason or another. If they destroy Israel they will go after the Christians in Europe. And then the US. It's the history of the place and the people. They lust after the blood of others while their "holy" leaders convince them they do God's service. I watch them gather in their crowds with their signs and their swords and their AK-47's while they jump up and down pumping their fists in the air on cue as they look to see where the camera is and smile for the lens when they spot it. Where is God in that? Where? Tell me!

First off, The Iraqi Muslims carried out the killing of this tyrant and they picked the date, if there was a problem about their own Holiday they would have addressed it.

Secondly, why is it that the Iraqi insurgents dont rest their murderous rampages during Muslim Holidays?

Is it only us that care and worry about their holy days????
They certainly don't!

I agree and think it will too. The execution was a good idea but maybe picking a different day might have been a better idea.
