He wasn't a "loser"; he was a decent guy. He didn't make waves, which is a good thing for a president, especially after all the upheaval that took place before his term of office.

I didn't watch the funeral coverage, but that's because I think funerals should be private. I disagree with televising them at all, no matter how public the figure was.

your calling a man that ended up in the white house as president by default a loser? considering the times we were in when he took over the presidency I'd say it was a FAR better thing that happened that he became Pres., than to have Nixon stay on as pres. and the war in Nam would have gone on for a lot longer! Ford got our troops OUT! crack open a freaking history book sometime why don't you.

in any case, the man is dead. the people that loved and respected him are mourning him. is that so horrible?
his funeral is not dominating the TV, only local news station channels and CNN/FOX etc.
unless you live in the stone age I'm sure you have cable or satellite TV. there are 500 channels on...don't like it? change the channel.

i may not like the man's politics but he did his duty by his country, and that is all one can ask their presidents to do!
get over it. your a very disrespectful person. i highly DOUBT you'll have as many people mourning your death.

he wasn't a loser, I mean what have you done for the planet lately?
But it is a bit disturbing that James Brown is getting more coverage than Ford. I mean he was talented alright, but what is this country coming to when a soul singer beats out a U.S. President in the ratings?
We have become a shallow, uneducated, unsophisticated country with mixed up values and misplace priorities.

I think when big events come about that all the news stations are afraid of being looked at as the one that doesn't cover the event. I also think There should be a political office that handles all photo opportunity types of things like funerals, veterans holidays, and so on allowing the president to spend more time on his job.

Loser? Uhmmm, that's a bit disrespectful if you don't know your history but I have observed that the coverage is for a reason; don't watch it if it bothers you besides everything will be closed until Tuesday, including the markets- I find that aspect scary that no one is talking about! What say you?

No, there's not too much coverage.

The man was a President, and one who finally pulled the troops from Vietnam, and got them safely.

You are talking about a former President of the United States. There is no need to call him names now that he's dead. How would you like it if your mom or dad died and we called them names? Wouldn't be so funny then would it?
