A MEGAPIXLE camera has bigger resolution!!
But an ordinary VGA camera has 300k or 640x468 resolution!!
LIKE a 1.3 MEGAPIXLE has 1280x1024 resolution
a 2 MEGAPIXLE has 1600x1200 resolution!!
the better the pixle, the bettter and bigger the picture gets!!
SOME VGA CAMERA BASED MOBILE:
MOTOROLA slvr L6, L7
Sony ericsson K700i(the BEst)

In a matter of speaking vga would be about .6 mega pixel in rating. My Sprint PPC 6700 has a 1.3 Megapixel camera. But it is a matter of resolution the VGA format is lower in pixel rating

If you see resolution in the specs (i.e. 320x480 or 640x480), then you can compare.

640x480 = 307,000 pixels or 0.3 megapixels
1280x1024 = 1.3 megapixels

Megapixels are important if you plan on printing a photo. Generally speaking, to print a 5x7 photo, you need a 3 megapixel picture.
