I've heard that nearly all agencies/models lie about their real height anyway- is 5'8 tall enough?

There are several runway models that are 5'8" so you should be alright.

I think 5'8" should be a nice height for a model.
I think what would help the most is that you have a long neck, long legs and arms, fingers. Big features. A lot of models seem to have big mouths, high cheek bones. Not so important to have big boobs. Long waist. Nice butt! Sassy walk. Lots of personality. Not camera shy. Expressive.

Do you ever watch Tyra Banks Show? Look her up on the Internet and see if you can send pictures into her sight. Maybe she would pick you. She gives good advice too. Never pay to become a model. If you are worth anything, they will pay you.

Be careful. Here is her site. They don't have it competed but it does have something about "model searches" I didn't look.

I know for a fact you can not be a runway model at 5'8".. However you can be a still model for magazines or any print.

Runway models must be 5'10" barefoot! And if anyone tells you yes you can from an agency... then they are saying so to make money off of you.

Both my children are models and our youth pastor believe it or not is a model. For a division of Ford M.A. in Los Angeles.

My son is 6'3" 43 long and my daughter is 5'7". Size 1

If you see a runway model under 5'10" it is usually a celeb.
Or a child of a celeb. for name recognition .

From what I've heard, the shortest of runway models are around 170 centimenters. I'm rather derogatory in the concept of unit conversation, but I think that's probably tall enough.

Technically, most model agencies won't consider you for any type of modeling work unless you are 5'7". There are exceptions, take Devon Aoki for instance...5'4" she did some runway, but mainly fashion photography. I wouldn't count yourself out because you do meet the 5'7" minimum, you absolutely have a chance! Work it girl!
