Unfortunately, we often confuse academic success with personal success. We should indeed be proud of our job, whatever it is, and do the job well, whatever it is. But we should not limit ourselves to that job. We're doctors, poets, lawyers...yes, but we are also much more than that!
Once we all reach our golden years...it won't matter what our job was or how much money we made. It's all about what kind of person we are. That's all it should ever be about.

You define yourself on who you want to become.
Your income is irrevelant...it's only a reflection of value you bring to the marketplace.

My job reflects the type of person I am -- it hasn't made me who I am. And, I do a far greater job than what I earn.
